I earned my A.A. degree in Special Education from Pensacola State College, Penascola, FL

I earned my B.S. degree in Special Education from College of Charleston, Charleston, S.C.

I earned my M.Ed in Elementary Education from the University of Hawaii, Honolulu, Hawaii.

This year I will be working on earning my Education Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership through Lincoln Memorial University.

I have been teaching for twenty five years.  I have had the privilege of teaching every grade level from preschool to college.  I have taught in a variety of settings and a variety of places.  I started my teaching career in South Carolina.  I have also taught in Hawaii, Japan, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Tennessee.   This is my second year here in Franklin County.

I moved to Franklin County last summer.  For fourteen years before that,  I lived in Soddy Daisy, TN right outside of Chattanooga.  I have a daughter and son-in-law who live here in Winchester, and I am so happy to be living nearby.  I also have a son who lives and works in Chattanooga, TN.

I love to play with plants and flowers in my yard.  I also enjoy reading when I get a few spare moments (those moments are rare when school is in session).  I also love to travel and have had many wonderful adventures.  Most of all, I love music.  I love to sing, and I love listening to many different types of music.
